Cairo rejected on Sunday evening, Khartoum sought direct negotiations on Halayib and Shalateen region, disputed between the two countries for decades, a demand which waved by Sudan to resort to international arbitration. Said Ahmed Abu Zaid, a spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, in a brief statement obtained "Anatolia", a copy of it,  to Egyptian sovereignty, and not Egypt not to comment further on the statement of the Sudanese Foreign Ministry.
